New Vice President of SIM Soccer Club, Phua Yih Kiat



Phua Yih Kiat started his football career with Sembawang Ranger FC which he won COE Cup and Youth League 1st runner-up with the team. After his return from a month long training stint in Thailand with Chonburi FC, Kiat came back to lead the Prime League (Under-23) of Balestier Khalsa FC where he took on the role as a Captain for 2 years. During his football journey, Kiat also captained for his schools and even National Football League (NFL) team, SAFSA.

Kiat said: ''The post of the SIM Soccer Club's Vice-President is always a challenging one for any player - more so in a team like SIM where there are so many star players around.''

''I am deeply honoured to have been appointed from a pool of candidates. While I recognize that the task will not be easy, I am confident and believe that my experience in the game will be an asset to SIM's football. I urge everyone to support us and work together as a team as we strive to optimize our resources and maximize our success. I am filled with excitement to see new passionate players joining us and train together with the new coach. 'PA BUAY TOH' SIM!''

Kiat is currently in his final year pursuing Bachelor Degree in Business (Management) from RMIT University.
